YIT Oy – Hartaanselkä bridge (ongoing)

Steel Group Pohjanmaa Oy and YIT Suomi Oy have signed an agreement for the manufacture and installation of steel structures for the Hartaanselkä Bridge in Oulu. It is a light traffic bridge, which will be a two-span steel arch bridge. The bridge will connect the neighborhoods of Lipporanta and Vaakunakylä, where area of the Asuntomessut 2025 will be built. So we are participating with our own contribution in building the Asuntomessut event in Oulu and enabling smooth traffic in the area.

We will be especially proud of this object, because the bridge will be located almost in our backyard and architecturally, this future landmark of Oulu will be a truly beautiful creation when completed. The bridge is called “Siivenkantama” because the side view of the bridge resembles a bird that has spread its wings. The bridge was designed by Insinööritoimisto Pontek Oy, which won the bridge design competition held in 2021.
